The project aims at the practical implementation of the Canada-Ukraine Audiovisual Co-Production Treaty, which entered into effect on January 1, 2021. Without exaggeration, the Treaty has historical significance, as it opens new opportunities for both countries for mutually beneficial cooperation in the media industry. discussion at KMW. It will be the first event of the full-scale project Canada-Ukraine CoProduction Conference
. In addition, the project organizers will take the floor at KMW and tell the audience about further stages of the project and present its website, where producers from Ukraine and Canada will be able to submit their projects for co-production and find partners for further production.
As far as several Canadian-Ukrainian projects are already being developed, during the panel discussion, the experts will tell what inspired them to co-produce, how the cooperation works, and how both states support content producers at the national and regional levels, in particular through the opportunities offered by the Treaty.

will involve several stages that will present to the content producers of both countries the mechanisms of the Canada-Ukraine Co-Production Treaty. The producers will also be able to pitch their projects aimed at identifying potential and establishing collaborations. In addition, the project provides individual meetings for potential partners. Last year, at the European Film Market (Berlinale), during the first Conference, more than seventy meetings were held between Canadian and Ukrainian producers, this time the organizers expect even higher figures.
